In a volcanic ash haze of celebrations, the Pigs CC celebrated its end of season presentation night at its favourite watering hole, the Great Northern Hotel on 7 April 2010. Parents, players, WAGS and children enjoyed all the traditional celebrations with Adam Buck taking out the Annual Know Your Pigs Trivia contest, Nathan Stewart being honoured for breaking the Pigs most runs in an innings record and Jack Stooke breaking the Pigs most runs in a season record. Nick Dowd was immortalised by winning his first Pigs CC Player of the Season award in a tight run contest.
As we turn our minds to the cold winter, Pigs CC thank those of have contributed to the season including Barcs for re-inventing the Pigs website, Dog and Guy for regular whitty match reports, Seldon for breaking the world record for epic match reports, DOCs’ Stewart, Clear and Nasir, Horley for being such a Pig nerd and each of the 62 Pigs that pulled on the (not so) baggy brown in a season that saw the Pigs take out the NSCA AReserve grand final, the C Grade grand final, the C Grade Limited Overs title, Nick Dowd for best B Grade player, batsman and fielder, Guy for B Grade best bowler, and Luke Nasir best C Grade keeper.
